Tex Mex Connection is proud to be a 2 Star Certified Green Restaurant®! Through our work with the national non-profit Green Restaurant Association, we earned a total of 109 points within their rigorous program, and were recently awarded Certification. All of us here at Tex Mex are committed to continuing to reduce our environmental impact, and implementing new Green initiatives each year.  For example Tex Mex voluntarily implemented a full-scale recycling program over twenty years ago. We decided this year to expand that program to include composting our food and disposable waste, which has dramatically reduced the amount of garbage thrown away by 75%! In addition, we have reduced our water usage, sourced local food supplies and worked on converting our lighting to reduce energy consumption.  All of these steps and more information on our Certification can be found www.dinegreen.com.
